Our Mission
The mission of the
Mountain Coast Aikikai is to promote an understanding of martial art training -
specifically Aikido - as a vehicle for mindfulness, personal development and
transformation. Aikido incorporates self-discipline, personal- and
martial-awareness, mind/body integration and self-defense training to help individuals
prepare themselves to serve and contribute in a positive way to the life of the
communities in which they live.
Instruction is provided
at all levels - novice, intermediate and advanced. Training at the Mountain Coast
Aikikai is offered in a semi-traditional format. Participants learn to embody the
principles of Aikido in an energetic, focused and non-competitive atmosphere.
